Today's Wednesday Walk - 24 walkers, lead admirably by Sandra, took in about 4 miles around Aston-on-Trent and along the Trent & Mersey Canal. Weather was sunny with a breeze. Thankfully not as scorching as yesterday. Post-walk refreshments at the homely village pub, The Malt.
We are a local group of The Ramblers,
based in south-east Derbyshire, established in 1981. We organise group walks in the
local area and beyond, lead by experienced walk leaders. We are a friendly bunch of like minded
people who enjoy the many benefits of walking in the open air. Our Footpath Secretary and Wardens work diligently to monitor and do minor cutting back on footpaths to help maintain Rights of Way in the Erewash area.
