Today's Wednesday walk - 5 intrepid walkers braved the forecasted elements and avoided the A50 traffic chaos, to trek 4 miles between Melbourne and Breedon Priory Church. Remarkably we had no rain until the last 10 minutes. Medals awarded to Stephen B (walk leader and behind the lens), Brian, Hazel, Marion and Caroline.
We are a local group of The Ramblers,
based in south-east Derbyshire, established in 1981. We organise group walks in the
local area and beyond, lead by experienced walk leaders. We are a friendly bunch of like minded
people who enjoy the many benefits of walking in the open air. Our Footpath Secretary and Wardens work diligently to monitor and do minor cutting back on footpaths to help maintain Rights of Way in the Erewash area.
