Our annual Macmillan Coffee Morning and two walks were held this morning with weather far more favourable than had been forecast the previous day - warm sunshine for the most part although threatening clouds at times on the return leg with one short shower not enough to dampen the spirits of the 40 walkers who had arrived at Sue's home in 2 seperate groups from the short and longer walks. A huge thank you to Sue and her team of helpers for putting on a splendid coffee morning again and to Gordon and Sheila for leading the walks.
We are a local group of the Ramblers,
based in south-east Derbyshire, established in 1981. We organise group walks in the
local area and beyond, lead by experienced walk leaders. We are a friendly bunch of like minded
people who enjoy the many benefits of walking in the open air. Our Footpath Secretary and Wardens work diligently to monitor and do minor cutting back on footpaths to help maintain Rights of Way in the Erewash area.
