Today's Wednesday Walk - 24 walkers set off on a miserable wet morning (it did brighten up later!) to traverse about 3.5 miles, from Horseley Woodhouse, around Smalley and Shipley Park. Thanks to Sandra for her leadership and good humour. Thanks to Stephen B, possibly his last time behind the lens before departing to Suffolk. Post-walk refreshments at the Sitwell Arms.
We are a local group of The Ramblers,
based in south-east Derbyshire, established in 1981. We organise group walks in the
local area and beyond, lead by experienced walk leaders. We are a friendly bunch of like minded
people who enjoy the many benefits of walking in the open air. Our Footpath Secretary and Wardens work diligently to monitor and do minor cutting back on footpaths to help maintain Rights of Way in the Erewash area.
