We are a local group of the Ramblers Association, based in south-
We organise walks on alternate Sundays (8 to 10 miles), alternate Mondays (6 to 7 miles), alternate Thursdays (5 to 6 miles), and, for a trial period from January 2017, on alternate Saturdays too (5 to 6 miles). See our Picture Gallery for examples of some of our walks.
We also hold a series of short walks (3 to 4 miles) on Wednesday mornings, which are ideal for those new to walking or trying to get back into walking.
Our walks are not at all rushed, and there is always a stop for a coffee or drink,
so please remember to bring a flask or other drink with you. All our longer walks
will also include a stop for lunch, so carry a pack-
Please make sure that you are suitably dressed and capable of joining our walks -
As with all Ramblers groups, our walks are open to everyone. If you are not a member,
don’t worry -
We also carry out conservation work on paths in our area -
